the wind was howling outside of the wolf's den, and honestly, she was quite happy it wasn't her out there. it wasn't because she didn't like the snow, in fact she loved it, it was just the fact that the snow was coming down so heavily, and not to mention it was quite cold out there, even to the point where she could feel the sting even through her thick fur. huffing softly, the canine would rise to her paws, her green eyes flashing as she looked over towards the entrance of her den. padding over towards the opening, the female would slow enter the light from the outside, unable to help but shiver slightly at the chill that greeted her. seating herself down, the brown wolf would look out into the white blanket covering the ground. oh dear, she really hoped the storm would end soon, she was hungry, and she definitely wouldn't be able to hunt in this sort of weather.
the male as well wasn't too fond of the current weather, but unlike ember he hadn't gotten the chance to escape the snow before the storm began, and therefore could be seen trekking through the white ice material covered in the flakes. oh, he hadn't been too happy once the storm had started, because now it meant he would be quite cold for the rest of it. well, unless he managed to find someone to warm up with. luckily he had at least managed to obtain something useful, which was a hawk he was dragging with him. perhaps he could steal some warmth and shelter in return for a bite to eat. it seemed reasonable honestly, especially as he was sure someone was bound to be hungry. there wasn't much of a reason not to be, he knew the pack hadn't gone hunting yet today, and that was why he had gone out. where the rest of his group was, he didn't know, but he assumed they had gone to seek shelter while he was away. blue eyes scanning around himself, the male would spot the figure of ember in the entrance to her cave and approach her, aiming a friendly smile her way. she would probably help him, they had been friends since forever anyways, so why not?
